AARP & IRS SPONSORED "TAX-AIDE PROGRAM"

This is a nationwide tax preparation service, sponsored by AARP and IRS, that provides free income tax preparation, free electronic filing, and answers tax questions with the help of 32,000 volunteers nationwide. This program is intended to serve low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. IRS provided software is used for all tax returns. All counselors are certified, having passed three levels of IRS testing. All information is strictly confidential.

• Poker Night - Thursday, February 23rd @ the Pro Shop Lounge, call 253-9511 for details
• HIFD Ladies' Auxiliary Souper Sunday, February 26th @ Clubhouse; 10:30am-2pm. Adults $5; under 12 $2.  Come and enjoy a fun lunch featuring a large variety of soups and desserts served by very own firemen.  If you would like to donate a soup or dessert, please call Sue Overgaard - 253-7325.
• 3rd Annual Carole Hilmer Ovarian Cancer 5K Run/Walk, April 21st; click here for entry form.  Geraldi's will offer a spaghetti special the night before so.... even if you can't "race", you can still support a great cause; there will also be a silent auction @ Geraldi's during the spaghetti special. The morning of the race, Arvest Junior Bank Board will have pancake a breakfast at the HI Pavilion 7:30am - 11am.
